Measuring for Curtains on a Track
Suitable for heading types
Pencil Pleat

To be sure of the best possible fit, take time to measure your window carefully. The curtain track should be positioned 10cm to 15cm (4"to 6") aprox, above the window, take into account the distance between the top ofthe window recess and the celing, and extend 15cm - 20cm ( 6"- 8") either side.

A. Measuring the width
Measure the total width of the rail.

B. Measuring the drop
Before measuring the drop, decide whether you want your curtains to fit below the sill or to the floor. We suggest that
Curtains that fall below the sill finish 15cm (6") below.
Floor length curtains finish 1.5cm (0.5") from the floor
Measure the drop from the top of the rail.
Always measure in at least 3 positions across the track or pole as floors and sills are rarely level. To avoid curtains dragging across the floor or cill we recommend you use the shortest of these 3 measurements.

Measuring For Curtains on a Pole
Suitable for curtain heading types
Pencil Pleat, Eyelet, Tab top, Triple Pleat and Goblet Top.

To be sure of the best possible fit, take time to measure your window carefully. The curtain pole should be positioned 10cm to 15cm (4" to 6") above the window and extend 15cm - 20cm (6"-8") either side.

A. Measuring the width
Measure the total width of the pole (excluding finials).

B. Measuring the drop
Before measuring the drop, decide whether you want your curtains to fit below the sill or to the floor. We suggest that
Curtains that fall below the sill finish 15cm (6") below.
Floor length curtains finish 1.5cm (0.5") from the floor.

For pencil pleat, triple pleat or goblet top curtains
Measure the drop from the eye of the small metal ring at the bottom of each curtain ring. This will prevent the pole or rings from being obscured by the curtains.

For eyelet or tab top curtains
Measure the drop from the top of the pole.
Always measure in at least 3 positions across the track or pole as floors and sills are rarely level. To avoid curtains dragging across the floor or sill we recommend you use the shortest of these 3 measurements.
